The legendary Stan “The Man” Lee was an early HMS guest. Even though he’s best known for his work in the comic book industry, co-creating some of Marvel’s most iconic characters, because of the tremendous success of the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man movies, and because I’m a personal fan, we invited Stan to spend some time with our audience.

Stan was in his 80s when this interview was taped. And like his contemporary, Ray Bradbury (also an HMS alumnus), Stan turned out to be one of the most youthful people to grace our stage. His passion and playfulness made him an audience favorite.

In this clip, he talks about his process in creating one of Marvel’s most iconic characters.
