We had some amazing guests during our initial run of Hollywood’s Master Storytellers. This highlight reel from our second and third seasons features appearances by Oscar winning visual effects artist Stan Winston (Jurassic Park), the writing/directing/producing team of Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai), director Richard Donner (Superman – The Movie), actor/producer Pierce Brosnan (The Thomas Crown Affair), Oscar winning producer Jon Landau (Titanic) and director Irvin Kershner (Star Wars Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back).
Watching this video for the first time in several years, I look back and marvel at both the quality of guests we hosted during our initial run, but even more by how wonderful they were to talk to. One of the reasons artists like these were happy to be HMS guests was the fact that we not only gave them an opportunity to talk about their craft in the kind of detail that is impossible during a press junket where they often used pre-planned 30 second responses to questions they knew up front they’d be asked over and over again. We also created to a safe space for them to just relax and talk about their craft – something they all seemed to really enjoy.
