Ed Asner Stars In “Another Gin Game” LIVE

Well folks, if you have a desire to see a live staged reading starring a legend, you have your chance on Sunday July 18th. Ed Asner stars in “Another Gin Game” opposite Ruta Lee at Theatre 40 on the campus of Beverly Hills High School.
It’s a new play written by Gary Kaskel, is a gossip fest between two former show biz greats in their later years, who face their past, present and future. Kaskel is a member of Theatre 40, and is a multi-talented creative. “Another Gin Game” is his third play. He is an animal rights advocate, and wrote “Monsters & Miracles’, a novel about Henry Bergh, founder of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Asner’s casting in this one night only live presentation is a real coup for the producers and audiences alike. Mr. Asner, is the winner of seven Emmy Awards for his roles in “Lou Grant,” “The Mary Tyler Moore,” “Roots,” and “Rich Man Poor Man.” He’s the recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Life Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild.
Ruta Lee is also a Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree. She has acted in twenty six feature films including “Witness for the Prosecution,” “Funny Face” and “Sergeants 3” appearing alongside rat pack legends Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. and appeared in over a hundred classic TV shows including “Maverick,” “Perry Mason” and “Alfred Hitchcock Presents.” She recently wrote her autobiography called “Consider Your Ass Kissed” which has been selling out at bookstores.
The cast also includes stage actor Donte’ Ashton Green, whose credits include “Two Trains Running,” “Duchess of Malfi,” “Othello,” “Rent,” “A Raisin In The Sun,” and “Uncle Vanya.”
The proceeds from “Another Gin Game” will support the ongoing artistic endeavors of Theatre 40, a 501 c3 non-profit organization and Beverly Hills professional theatre company.

Free parking is available in the parking lot beneath the theatre. To access parking, enter through the driveway at the intersection of Durant and Moreno Drives.
